Development of a simulator for coverage planning of a 6G/IoT constellation

The uprising of 6G/IoT low-Earth orbit satellite constellations in the last decades has brought on challenges in designing an efficient way to handle its operation. The objective of this paper is to present a solution to this management problem and showcase an important component of this solution: an orbital simulator. This algorithm aims at accurately propagating the motion of the spacecraft while simultaneously computing the interactions between the satellite and various entities, including users, ground stations, target areas, and the Sun. These results are then used by a second component, the scheduler, so that a task plan is developed.
